MATERIALS DESCRIPTION:
Optional 1 inch Mat:
Our matting is the perfect decorative compliment to just about any frame. We stock tens of thousands of uncut matboards in a variety of colors and cores, and each mat is alkaline-buffered to be acid-neutral, which slows the aging process of the mat as well as the print it comes in contact with.
Acrylic Cover:
Our ACRYLITE® Clear Acrylic offers the beautiful clarity of the finest picture frame glazing at half the weight of glass and many times the impact resistance. Additionally, it blocks some ultraviolet light. It is the preferred material for larger framed art and provides the safety warranted in high traffic areas. It is the ideal glazing material for museums, galleries, and homes.
Derby (Wood):
The Derby is our most popular wood frame style, with a flat profile face that is 1 ¼” wide. It’s made from a North American hardwood (Poplar) that’s finger-jointed and finished with a decorative wood pattern wrap. This eco-friendly approach allows us to ship sturdy, high-quality, consistently colored & patterned natural wood frames. Made in America.
Dayton (Wood):
The Dayton is our natural wood style, with a flat profile face that is 1 ¼” wide. It’s made from a North American hardwood (Poplar) that’s either stained or painted. Made in America. Note: Due to the natural features of this finished wood, the frame moulding grain pattern may not be as consistently matched as our finger-jointed wood profiles. You can expect variations in grain patterns, courtesy of Mother Nature. :)
Granby (Wood):
The Granby is our ornate wood frame style, with a flat profile face that is 1 ⅜” wide. It’s made from a North American hardwood (Poplar) that’s finger-jointed, decoratively pressed, and finished with an antique-style gilded pattern wrap. Made in America.
Ashford (Metal):
The Ashford is a thin metal frame style, with a flat profile face that is ⅜” wide. It’s made from extruded aluminum that’s either anodized or powder coated (processes to create a decorative, durable, and corrosion-resistant finish). Made in America.
Hanover (Metal):
The Hanover is a thinner, rounded metal frame style, with a profile face that is ⅜” wide. It’s made from extruded aluminum that’s either anodized or powder coated (processes to create a decorative, durable, and corrosion-resistant finish). Made in America.
