The Heart of the Hug: My Babywearing Journey
Share
Parenting two boys just two years apart was a beautiful, chaotic whirlwind. In those early years, I quickly realized that I needed to find ways to stay connected to my children while still navigating the demands of daily life. That is where my love for babywearing began.
Whether I was at home or out exploring the Bay Area, having my boys tucked close to my heart in a wrap or carrier was a game changer. It provided them with comfort and security, but it also gave me something invaluable: my hands back!
Finding the Rhythm
Babywearing allowed me to be present for my sons while still feeling like myself. It turned a simple walk or a trip to the grocery store into a moment of bonding. Looking back at those photos now, I am reminded of how those small physical connections helped me navigate the "no joke" reality of early motherhood.
It was more than just a convenience. It was a practice that kept me sane during the sleepless nights and the busy days. It taught me that even in the middle of a mess, you can still find a way to hold on to what matters most.
Being a mom is a huge part of who I am. Those early snuggles were the foundation for the "Joy" I try to share through my art today.
Are you a parent too? What was a hobby, a tool, or a passion that kept you sane during those busy early years? I would love to hear your stories!
