Channeling My Inner Style Icon: From Swag to Stickers

Channeling My Inner Style Icon: From Swag to Stickers

I recently came across a photo of myself as a young girl and I have to admit something: I had way more fashion sense back then! The confidence, the bold choices, and that undeniable sense of "swag" were on a whole different level.

Looking at that mini-version of me, I see a girl who was not afraid to stand out or experiment with color and sparkle. These days, my personal wardrobe is a bit more focused on comfort while I am working in the studio or running after my two boys in Orinda. However, that doesn't mean the "flash" has disappeared.

Where the Color Went

Instead of wearing all those bright patterns, I have started funneling that vibrant energy into my stickers and digital art. My characters are the ones who get to wear the neon pinks, the electric blues, and the bold oranges now.

My art is where my inner fashion icon still lives. When I am designing a new capybara sticker or a cat slang print, I am tapping into that same sense of play I had as a child. It turns out that you never really grow out of a love for "flash" and color. You just find new, creative ways to share it with the world!

Did you have a favorite childhood outfit or "look" that you wish you could pull off today? I would love to hear about your most iconic (or hilarious) fashion moments in the comments!
